Meet The Team

Jeanne Weintraub (She, hers), MA LPC
I am a deeply feeling person who loves to play and be outside. On the weekend you might find me mountain biking, hiking, skiing or putting my feet in a river somewhere. I believe I was training to be a play therapist my whole life! I feel honored to join children and adults to welcome all of themselves into the room. I use play therapy, body-based awareness and resourcing, parts work alongside EMDR. I am especially skilled at supporting those who are challenged with big emotions or behaviors, such as tantrums, sadness, aggression, anxiety, and those who are seeking a better connection to themselves and those around them. I am passionate about fostering emotional agility, self-trust and cultivating a safe place to express emotions.
I completed a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University, and achieved Licensure in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am also trained in EMDR through the Trauma Institute. At True Nature counseling I want to empower and support you and your children to reconnect with your truest nature and the goodness and health that resides within all of us. I look forward to engaging and connecting with you.

Laura Bailey, MA MEd LPC (she, hers)
Hi! I’m Laura, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m on a path of remembering and trusting my own innate wisdom, and I am passionate about supporting others to do the same. As a recovering perfectionist, I especially enjoy helping kids and their adults learn to embrace and express their authentic emotions.
I have worked with children in many capacities throughout my life including as an elementary school teacher, a summer camp director, and an educational therapy provider. Perhaps most importantly, I vividly remember the experience of being a child myself, which informs my interactions with clients and helps me build connections between kiddos and their grown-ups. Outside the playroom, I spend my time in many of the same ways I enjoyed playing as a kid: volunteering, reading, traveling, and enjoying the beauty of nature!
I’ve earned masters degrees in both education (TCU ‘06) and clinical mental health counseling (Naropa University ‘21), so I am uniquely equipped to collaborate with families and schools to support their students in experiencing more ease and joy in learning environments.
I believe that each individual moves through the world with wisdom and meets the challenges that arise with the best tools they have. At True Nature Counseling, our goal is to support children and teens in developing more capacity for challenge and to help them learn more adaptive tools for meeting and moving through current and future challenges. If this sounds like what your family is seeking, I hope you’ll reach out and let us tell you more about how we can support you.
